It takes nine months of daily training to become a professional cigar roller in Cuba. It takes one month of training 8hrs a day to become a professional elevator operator in Hong Kong. It takes a business card, an interest in exercise and a weekend or online certification to become a certified professional personal trainer.
About
Our 11 years in personal training has taught us two key things. Firstly, the low level of entry into the industry has damaged it’s reputation, tarnished with poor customer service and often amateur ethos. Secondly, for too long, we’ve all relied on a generic, ‘one size fits all’, no pain-no gain approach to health and fitness. Not only is achieving positive results in this way hit and miss, but our own on-going battles with long term injury have shown us the dangers with the application of the traditional approach. Our own personal journey fuels our determination to continue learning and to improve our knowledge on the best practices. We know firsthand just how frustrating it is to receive out dated, generic advice that just doesn’t work. One single method has never worked for everyone, and never will. We want to set new standards.
